What All You Need To Know About Chute Liner
Chute liners are an extended body that is formed from expansive shock absorbing material. This shock absorbing material can be made of Urethane and Vulcan Rubber. The exclusive purpose of chute liner is to protect the chute from external physical damage.
It consists of two locating formations and a locking member parallel to locating formation. The material of the fixing member used here varies based on the requirement. The liners are cut from long sheets in order to avoid joint lines. It can be made of any shape and size depending upon the chute requirements. The liner has a molded elastomer over it which is placed on the surface of the chute. Multiple elastomer knobs are mounted so that the granular materials get collected in the knobs.
Thus the chute can be prevented from the damage caused by these granules. Fasteners are used to mount the chute liners on the chute’s impact surface. There are various modular lining systems. Generally larger chute liners are broken into smaller ones in order to make installation easy. If a liner is damaged, that particular liner alone can be replaced and it is not needed to replace the other liners, thus parallel operation of liners is possible. This article briefly explains the basics of a chute liner and its function.
